storyboards for an anti-pig farming campaign for Viva!
In June 2023, I pitched a campaign strategy for Viva! -- the UK’s leading vegan campaigning charity -- as a part of my interview. The task was to produce the outline for a four-month campaigns strategy with a budget of £100,000 (excl. salaries). The idea behind my pitch was to show the psychological and societal barriers between society and concepts of veganism. The focus was on how to use people’s self-interest as a tool for spreading awareness of animal cruelty; make people ask themselves: why is it relevant for me to go vegan?
Background given by the organisation: Viva! has exposed the conditions pigs endure in many campaigns, including Face Off (Pigs) and Hogwood Horror Farm (and Hogwood: a modern horror story is now a documentary on Netflix). It has been shown pig campaigns mainly affects adults ages 18 to 30 of both genders, as well as people (mainly women) aged 30 to 55.
A key element was to have a central character (Tom) featured throughout all parts of the campaign so that the audience would have someone to relate to and it would make all the different aspects of the campaign more coherent.

THE CLIPS
#1: 'At the cafe'
#2: 'At the construction site'
#3: 'At the supermarket'
'Where would the links at the end of the clip lead?'
The humorous clips that imagine a utopian world where veganism is so prevalent that it seems odd not to be one, would lead to a landing page on the organisation’s website where the viewer can have control over what they will consume next.
storyboard for Gareth Donkin’s music video 'Whenever'

In May 2022, I helped the director of Gareth Donkin’s music video, Akam Hussein-Rustam, by drawing a storyboard for the project. The video was shot in Temple Newsam, Leeds.
