'Mindless Drawing as an Act of Mindfulness' is a self-developed workshop that allows people to rediscover drawing as an intuitive practice rather than a skill to be perfected. Struggling to find a communal drawing space that felt non-judgmental and open to more experimental techniques, I decided to create one where guided drawing and sequences of disciplined and flowing movement exercises are used to facilitate connection with your own style of drawing. The point of the workshop is not to 'learn how to draw' or 'how to be more creative' -- it’s about the benefits of focusing on drawing as a practice of mindfulness or self-discovery in an artistic way

The workshops took place every Sunday from March to June in Hyde Park Book Club in Leeds. The           sessions lasted for an hour, starting with some sitting, then going into individual exercises and                   we ended with a communal drawing exercise.

After leading the workshop in Hyde Park Book Club, I was also invited to give one at an exhale.lds event in June 2023. The workshop has also been held at We One Voice conscious festival in Chapel Allerton, Leeds in May 2023.
